Bear one another’s burdens and so you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus’ command to love one another. Through one-to-one caring relationships, those who are hurting receive the love and care they need to support them.
Stephen Ministers are the After People
Everyone goes through difficult times. Having someone to care, to listen, to share God’s love with you can help you get through confusion, stress, or loneliness you may be experiencing.
Stephen Ministries is a National Organization to which we are connected; it was founded by Dr. Kenneth C. Haugk in 1975 in St. Louis, MO.

Interested in Becoming a Stephen Minister?
Loving God,
St. Stephen was a man filled with faith and the Holy Spirit. As one of the first deacons in the early church, he was commissioned by the apostles to care for the needs of the people in the Christian community. We ask for his intercession to guide us in our Stephen Ministry for the Ames Catholic Community.
Saint Stephen, pray for us!
