Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a faith formation program for children aged 3-6 years old. CGS is a religious formation program based upon the Montessori principles of education and begins with the understanding that God is in relationship with children and that children find great peace and joy in the presence of God.

This program uses hands-on materials based on Scripture and Liturgy to help children deepen their love for the Lord. Presentations cover the Parable of the Good Shepherd, parables of the Kingdom of God, Infancy narratives, Paschal narratives, geography of the land of Israel, and elements of the Mass. The presentations based on the liturgy introduce the children to the liturgical colors and sacred items used at Mass, as well as the gestures that occur during Mass.

Registration for the 2023 - 2024 Faith Formation year is closed. Registration for the 2024-25 year opens May 2024.
