Sr. Lorraine Schmaltz, PBVM Parish Family Life Director lorraine@STAparish.net I grew up in eastern North Dakota and have been a member of the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Fargo, N. D for 41 years. After receiving a BA in Elementary Education from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph's, Minn. in 1965 I taught in the N.D. Catholic Schools for 18 years and was active in teaching summer Bible School in rural ND. In 1982 I accepted the challenge of parish work in western N.D. That challenge led to receiving a Masters in Pastoral Ministry from Seattle University in 1990 and 9 years of ministry in WA and OR. I am privileged to begin my 5th year here at STA walking with families and inquirers as they grow in their relationship with God and one another. Gardening, baking, praying, reading, walking, movies, contact with my Pres. Sisters, family and friends renew my energy and give balance to my life. |
