Online Bibles
- Daily readings, with the
actual readings right there, courtesy of the National Conference of
Catholic Bishops.
- The New American Bible
(which is the Bible used by most Catholics in the U.S.), also
courtesy of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops; includes a
good FAQ that answers
questions about the differences between Catholic and Protestant
Bibles, a glossary, questions about the Lectionary, and other
details.
- Another site with the
Bible, with multiple versions available and supporting
searches.
- Revised Standard
Version (another "Catholic" Bible), also supporting searches.
(This was one of the very first sites on the web to have the Bible,
especially with a search. The site also has other versions of the
Bible and other important documents.)
When is Easter?
- Sacred Space: Daily Prayer Online
is a site designed by the Irish Jesuits. It has a daily prayer based on
the readings for the day to help you pray right at your computer. Great
for a short, calming break from the stress of work or everyday life in
general!
- Gather Faithfully Together: A Guide for
Sunday Mass, pastoral letter on the Eucharist by Cardinal Roger
Mahony, Archbishop of Los Angeles.
- There is also a letter from Archbishop Hanus on
the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People
- A web page on marriage
preparation -- lots of links in the last half of the page for reading
material for marriage prep and links to other Catholic resources.
- Suggested
reading, by John Donaghy.
